Who am I?

As the director of Speak Up Consulting, I have been providing public speaking training for executives, managers and teams at various companies and institutions throughout Europe for nearly 15 years.

I am a teacher at Sciences Po Paris, both for the Faculty and for the professional continuing education programmes. I regularly work for HEC Paris (France’s world-class business school) as a speaker on stress management techniques and Public Speaking for the MBA and the EMBA courses.

I specialize in vocal techniques and have worked as a coach for companies such as Ernst & Young, L’Oréal, Lagardère, Dalkia and Areva. I regularly collaborate with training companies in the UK, in Germany and in France, including Neon Leaderhsip, Step System International, Indigo Partnership and ICM associates.

My background is both academic and artistic. I am a graduate of Sciences Po, Paris and King’s College London (Entente Cordiale scholar). I began playing cello at the age of five and also studied lyrical singing at the Royal College of Music in London. I currently study songwriting with renown French lyricist Claude Lemesle.

I have developed a pedagogical approach bridging between music, singing and Public Speaking. On that front, I often collaborate with Léonie Simaga, former member of the Comédie Française and Maxime Thomas, choreographer and dancer at the Ballet of the National Paris Opera.

In parallel, I conduct team-building workshops through singing and music for corporate clients and universities such as Bouygues, ESCP (business school), and l’Ecole des Gobelins (School of Image – Paris).

I am deeply involved in making Public Speaking a core discipline in French national education. With Cyril Delhay (author of a groundbreaking report commissioned in June 2019 by the French Minister of National Education and Youth on the place of Public Speaking in educational syllabus), I recently published “Je réussis mon Grand Oral du Bac” (Hachette Education, 2020), a workbook aimed at helping high school pupils towards the new oral exam of the French baccalauréat, implemented after the report’s recommandations.

I deliver regular Public Speaking workshops in high schools, in Paris and Ile-de-France, and am a guest speaker for various French educational academies.
